I Wore A Gothic Wedding Dress

I enjoyed reading this article because I learned that many of the white gowns I've liked are actually gothic because of their design. This is not an assumption that most people would make, so it was nice to know.

I liked the photos. It helps immensely to be able to place into a context what is being described. It was the way I understood the concept of the gothic white gown, which is a gown I would wear.


Not only would I wear a gothic wedding gown, but as a matter of fact, I did. I got married at night on top of a mesa in New Mexico to my long-time boyfriend. I wore a black velvet dress. It was very much in the design of Alice in Wonderland. It was lovely. I adored that dress. The picture above is similar to the one I wore.


It was the perfect gothic wedding gown for me. I was very comfortable and felt beautiful. It fit in with the surroundings and the overall feeling of the wedding.


Our wedding rings may be considered gothic, in some respects. They were silver that had fresh flowers pressed into the silver while the silver was hot and the flowers left an impression in the silver. They were beautiful.


The only ideas I have related to gothic weddings is to suggest that more people get married outdoors at night in a place that is special to them. I know that added a whole element to our wedding that was memorable.
