With a decent sense of style, a less expensive wedding gown can look just as fabulous as a designer-made one. So unless you are sitting in your fifth avenue penthouse sipping champagne, here are some tips on how to buy a budget wedding gown.



The first step is to know what you are looking for and this is the part that will take quite a bit of time. However, there are lots of different magazines, websites and catalogs dedicated to exactly such an occasion where you can find a wedding dress that is more to your liking. As you are likely to feel attracted to quite a number of dresses, a notebook to keep a record of them is essential. In time your list will grow shorter until you finally can put your finger on the one you want.

If you're just dying to have a specific wedding gown on your big day yet your budget won't allow it, the cheapest solution to your problem would be to present your local seamstress with a picture of it.
